Hi, Sascha here, I’m one of Sculptlife’s team of Personal Fitness Trainers on the Sunshine Coast.
I was on my lunch break last week kicking back on the hill Alexandra Heads and couldn’t help but notice how quickly we’re moving into summer. No doubt everyone is thinking about getting into their boardies and bikinis and hitting the beach – just check out that blue sky and golden beach! But some of you might feel like there is a bit of work to be done before you’re feeling ready to bare it all onthe beautiful beaches of the Sunshine Coast.
Sculptlife has a team of Sunshine Coast Personal Fitness Trainers that can help you on your way to your ideal summer body – (click here to take advantage of our free fitness consult to see how we can help you) but today I wanted to share with you a secret weapon for summer body success that you can use straight away! Don’t worry, its not going to cost you anything and you don’t need to go anywhere to get it – you’ve already got it – its your mind!
Did you know how powerful a tool your mind is? If you use it the right way you can harness it’s unreal power to achieve your ideal body (and anything else in life for that matter). In fact, I make all my clients do this – it’s an essential part of achieving your ideal body – because where the mind goes, the body will follow.
You do need to be really careful about how you go about this – why? Well, as a Sunshine Coast Personal Fitness Trainer, I’m always helping clients set goals for themselves. The only problem is when I ask someone what their ideal body is – guess what they tell me? Exactly what they don’t want! For example; “I don’t want a chubby tummy” ‘I don’t want tuckshop arms” or “I don’t want to look and feel like crap!”
Channel all your goals from negatively fuelled to positively geared thoughts, then use these thoughts to visualise your ideal body in your mind. Imagine how your arms will look and feel in a singlet, think about how your shirt will fit over your flat stomach, picture your thighs and firm and toned…most importantly visualise it.
Make yourself a vision board or book to capture these visualisations and put it somewhere where you’ll see it everyday. Here’s an example of a vision book, if you use pictures from a magazine, don’t include the faces as its important to be able to visualise your ideal body as yours, not someone elses.
Believe me, a huge key to beach body success is to not only train your body, but also your mind. Give these tips a try for yourself and remember, where the mind goes, the body will follow.
To your Best life, in your Best body,
Sascha
